What is Medical Waste?

It was published in the Official Gazette dated July 22, 2005 and entered into force.
According to the Waste Control Regulation, medical waste; infectious, pathological and penetrating
are waste.
Infectious Waste: Known or carrying infectious agents
possible with all kinds of body fluids, especially blood and blood products, and human
tissues, organs, anatomical parts, autopsy material, placenta, fetus and other
pathological material; gloves, drapes, sheets, bandages, plasters,
tampons, swab and similar waste; hemodialysis unit and under quarantine
patients' body interests; bacteria and virus-retaining air filters; infectious
laboratory cultures and culture stocks of agents; used for research
contact with infected animals and their interests with the carcasses of infected experimental animals
all kinds of materials, wastes arising from veterinary services,
Pathological Waste: Resulting from surgery, autopsy or anatomy study.
